The Herald News is a daily broadsheet newspaper produced by North Jersey Media Group, which also prints its companion paper, The Record, based in Hackensack, New Jersey. This publication is located in Woodland Park, previously known as West Paterson, and primarily covers the Passaic County region in New Jersey. The Herald News boasts a daily circulation of approximately 50,000 and over 40,000 copies on Sundays. The current version of Herald News has evolved from several earlier publications, but it officially formed in 1988 when two newspapers from Passaic and Paterson joined forces.
