This will be the last spring to admire them.Tom Landis, the Parks and Recreation superintendent, says there are signs that the trees are dying. The city plans to cut them down.

A new memorial to fallen West York police officer Andrew Duarte is taking shape at the West York Police Department. The memorial is part of a facelift to the nearly 100-year-old police building. Police say a portrait of Duarte will hang from what is now a blank, white wall in the front lobby. Police say local construction companies donated their services as a way of giving back to the community. "We are blessed.
