A groundbreaking environmental initiative is taking shape between two of the world’s busiest ports. The ports of Los Angeles and Shanghai recently unveiled plans for the first-ever trans-Pacific green shipping corridor, which aims to revolutionize global trade by significantly reducing carbon emissions. At the China-California Business Forum in Los Angeles this week, representatives from both ports say their plans are still moving forward despite the tariff dispute. CGTN’s Ediz Tiyansan reports.

The move comes after a series of controversial audit reports that revealed failures by both state and local governments to collect data on billions of dollars allocated for homeless services.
