    A 32-year-old man who stole a €15 bottle of Jameson from a shop over three years ago has been fined €250, as a judge remarked that the whiskey was unlikely to be returned, given how long ago the theft occurred. Clinton Martin, with an address at Newhall Court, Tallaght, Dublin 24, was charged under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act. He pleaded guilty to the theft, which occurred around 7.50pm on 15th March 2022 at Centra, Kiltalown Way, Tallaght.

    A judge has told a 44-year-old man that he is “far too old” to be coming back before the courts after he admitted to his role in the theft of a handbag from an unlocked car outside a jewellers in Dublin. James O’Callaghan, of Saint Andrew’s Court, Dublin 2, appeared before Dún Laoghaire District Court, where he pleaded guilty to a Section 4 theft offence arising from an incident outside Bridge Jewellers on Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge, shortly after 1pm on October 21, 2020.

Adam Printo (26), of Sundale Villas, Jobstown, Tallaght, Dublin 24, appeared before Tallaght District Court, where he entered a guilty plea to a charge under Section 9 of the Firearms and Offensive Weapons Act.

Cian Kavanagh (22), of Neilstown Gardens, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, pleaded guilty at Dún Laoghaire District Court to a money laundering offence under Section 7 of the Criminal Justice Act, relating to transactions that took place on July 22, 2023.
