Patrick Lynch (50), of Rosemount Glade, Dundrum, Dublin 14, appeared before Judge Anne Watkin at Dun Laoghaire District Court on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to several counts of burglary, theft, and trespassing. The court heard that on January 9, 2024, Lynch unlawfully entered the Rosemount Resource Centre at Waldermere Terrace, Main Street, Dundrum, Dublin 14, as a trespasser and committed the theft, namely the stealing of five Samsung tablets worth €5,500.

Lisa Lyons, of Mac Uilliam Grove, Tallaght, Dublin 24, appeared before Judge Michael Connellan at Tallaght District Court on Friday, May 2, in relation to a search carried out at her home by Garda Nicky Cleere on November 15, 2021. During the search, gardaí discovered a handbag hidden inside a larger bag. The court heard that inside were nine individual bags of cannabis weighing 29g, along with €508 in cash.

A disqualified driver who was caught behind the wheel carrying drugs just a month after being banned for four years has been spared jail. Liam Devoy (23), of Mac Uilliam Way, Fortunestown, Tallaght, Dublin 24, was sentenced at Tallaght District Court after pleading guilty to a series of road traffic and drug offences stemming from an incident in July 2023.

A man has been remanded in custody after allegedly threatening his former partner and their young son that he would kick their heads in and burn down their home during a domestic disturbance incident in Dublin. The man, who is aged in his forties and cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of breaching a safety order at a house in south Dublin, shortly after midnight on May 8. He was arrested at the scene by Garda Daragh Melinn after allegedly resisting gardai and has been refused bail.
