    WASHINGTON (7News) — At least two suspects are wanted in a string of burglaries and vandalisms that happened Sunday morning in D.C., according to The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The calls for the incidents came in between 5:10 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. The vandalism was the first reported incident that happened at a nail bar in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. SE. Police said a front door window that was big enough for a person to fit through was smashed.

    RICHMOND, Va. (7News) — Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares filed an emergency motion in the U.S. Court of Appeals requesting to stay Friday's District Court ruling that the registrations of 1,600+ Virginia votes be restored after being removed just weeks before the Nov. 5 general election. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration canceled the voters' registrations because they believed they were non-U.S. citizens, despite claims from some that many of those removed were eligible voters.

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A person from Virginia reported seeing smoke coming from Rock Island in the Potomac River on Saturday in Montgomery County. When fire crews responded, they located a large tree and other debris in the rocks on fire. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours using portable and floating pumps to get water to the fire on the remote island Pete Piringer with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

    ROCKVILLE, Md. (7News) — Rockville Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect they say shot a man Friday outside of a home in the 400 block of College Parkway. The shooting happened just before 4:30 p.m. When officers arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the stomach. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition police said.
