This will lead to a windy day in Southeast Texas with widely scattered showers and a few thunderstorms for the morning drive. What are the chances we get severe weather on Tuesday? At this time it looks like there's about a 70% chance you'll get rain with a 5 to 15% chance one of the storms near you could turn severe.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- It's an ABC13 Weather Alert Day, and the threat of heavy rain and severe storms is increasing over Southeast Texas. Tropical moisture is surging in behind a warm front, and as it collides with the line of storms coming in from North Texas, torrential downpours and street flooding are likely. Due to the heavy rain potential, areas near and north of I-10 have been placed in a Flood Watch from now through 7 a.m. Friday.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- We started off Friday with widespread rain moving through. The rain has moved out on this afternoon leaving us with mostly cloudy skies but we could see those clouds clear out by the mid to late afternoon. Areas that see clearing skies should see temperatures rise into the low 60s which should be mainly west of Houston. Areas east of Houston should see highs only rise up into the mid to upper 50s.
