BOSTON (WHDH) - The front door of a Dorchester home was kicked in by Boston police Friday while they searched for a child they believed was kidnapped. Those who live at the home said the force was unnecessary and are demanding accountability. Mavis Jones, 87, and her daughter Deborah Abraham were at home Friday evening when police burst in, searching room by room. “They went through every room in the home from the third floor to the basement,” Jones said.

MARSHFIELD, MASS. (WHDH) - People up and down the coast were making sure their property was ready to weather the incoming storm. Boaters were busy in marinas getting everything tied down to the docks before Thursday’s spring nor’easter hits. “Extra lines on the boat, you know, and just hope for the best,” said Lou Horvath, who has two boats docked in Scituate. “I’ll come down during the storm and check on it. The harbormaster will be up there.

MARSHFIELD, MASS. (WHDH) - Several Massachusetts communities reported wind damage as Thursday’s May nor’easter swept the area. In Brookline, an 80-foot oak tree toppled onto Chilton Street with its roots causing the sidewalk to buckle. “It sounded like a large earthquake,” said neighbor Dolphia Arnstein. “I called my husband, ‘Oh my God, the tree fell.’ He’s working in the basement so he could see too.”Arnstein quickly alerted her neighbor, as the tree fell toward their home.
