    WOBURN, MASS. (WHDH) - Video obtained by 7News shows the moment a masked man ran into a Woburn courthouse and pepper-sprayed a court officer Monday. Nicholas Akerberg, 28, of Yarmouth Port, deployed pepper spray in the lobby of Woburn District Court before he was tackled to the ground by law enforcement, police said. The building was evacuated following the attack. Court security cameras recorded a man, later identified as Akerberg, entering the courthouse and using the spray.

    DORCHESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Two students at King Elementary School in Dorchester walked off of school grounds unsupervised Wednesday afternoon. The students were found safe half a mile away outside of a liquor store on Columbia Street. It all went down around noon. School officials say the two students left the school campus as their class was transitioning to outdoor recess. The news bewildered parents at the school.

    LAWRENCE, MASS. (WHDH) - Lawrence radio host Santiago Matias is worried about his 67-year-old sister Florinda Rojas, who he says was in the nightclub in the Dominican Republic when the roof collapsed overnight. Over 50 people were reported dead and over 160 were reported injured in the incident. “I pray [that] she’s alive,” said Matias. “She lives in Punta Cana, almost every Monday they go there.”The owner of Lawrence’s Terra Luna restaurant on Essex Street was also inside the club.

    LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) - A 32-year-old Lowell man was arrested after police say he hit a dog over the head with a machete last week. Sticks is a 1-year-old old Olde English Bulldogge. He was rushed to a nearby animal hospital to receive several stitches. “You can see, his tongue hangs out the side,” said a Lowell Humane Society employee. “We’re not sure if that’s neurological.”Lowell police say the attack happened inside a public housing authority apartment building.

    BOSTON (WHDH) - A Fall River police officer, accused of trying to meet a teenager for sex, pleaded not guilty to human trafficking and drug charges Monday. Fall River Police Officer Mitchell Walsh was arrested late Friday as part of a sex sting operation by the Boston Police Department, officials said. Walsh appeared in handcuffs in Charlestown District Court Monday morning.
