The Oregon Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously reversed a lower court decision to dismiss part of a deceptive marketing lawsuit against Tillamook County Creamery Association originally filed in 2019. The lawsuit, brought by four Oregon consumers seeking class action status, alleged that Tillamook falsely represented the nature and origin of its cheeses, ice creams and other dairy products.

The plaintiffs had been seeking $360 million but they reached a settlement about a month before a lawsuit was expected to go to trial for a second time. Umpqua Bank has settled a class action lawsuit in which plaintiffs were seeking more than $360 million in damages related to a customer's Ponzi scheme, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The settlement was first reported by the Oregonian on Tuesday.

After months of negotiations, OHSU and UnitedHealthcare announced Friday they had reached agreement on a new contract before a March 31 deadline. The multi-year agreement will keep OHSU hospitals and clinics in network for 70,000 UnitedHealth members.
