Indonesian architecture studio RAD+ar has completed Sanctuary Tunnel Garden, a religious retreat nestled inside a concrete exoskeleton in West Java, Indonesia. Built for a private client, the retreat is located on a rural estate near the city of Bogor and includes villas and "space for prayer", including a semi-public Catholic chapel. The retreat sits within a tunnel formed of concrete arches incorporating modernist influences.

The studio renovated and extended the double-fronted Victorian house overlooking Clissold Park in Stoke Newington, which had previously been turned into bedsits and suffered from decades-long neglect.

Dutch studio NEXT Architects has completed Watchtower Einderheide, a bat-friendly wooden lookout in the Netherlands with a curved cut-out that reveals a spiral staircase. NEXT Architects, which has offices in Amsterdam and China, completed the tower as a lookout point for tourists on a network of cycling and walking trails in the Einderheide forest near the Belgium border.
