After disappearing from the public eye for roughly 40 years, Grimace’s Irish, green, Shamrock Shake-slinging uncle has returned to McDonald’s. Uncle O’Grimacey, who was introduced as a McDonaldland character in 1975 to promote the Shamrock Shake, has reunited with his purple nephew “for the first time in decades,” according to the company. Grimace and Uncle O'Grimacey reuniting over Shamrock Shakes.

The Food and Drug Administration just raised its recall of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips to the highest risk level. On Dec. 16, Frito-Lay issued a recall for 6,344 (13-ounce) bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips, according to an alert issued by the FDA. The chips were distributed to various stores and online outlets in Oregon and Washington, with customers able to buy the snacks beginning Nov. 3, 2024.
