They were at a restaurant called Le Fish Trap, known across the island for its savory pastry painted with Dijon mustard, sprinkled with cheese and topped with heirloom tomatoes. A few years later, while going through a pile of old magazines, my mom, Yuki, was shocked to spot the pie on the cover of Gourmet magazine. My family has been making this tart every summer ever since.

    After disappearing from the public eye for roughly 40 years, Grimace’s Irish, green, Shamrock Shake-slinging uncle has returned to McDonald’s. Uncle O’Grimacey, who was introduced as a McDonaldland character in 1975 to promote the Shamrock Shake, has reunited with his purple nephew “for the first time in decades,” according to the company.
