Update on PennDOT work on Route 115

EFFORT, MONROE CO. (WOLF) — An update Thursday as a portion of State Route 115 is closed in Effort due to construction. Chestnuthill Township Supervisor Chuck Gould told FOX56 that PennDOT will reverse the traffic pattern next Thursday. Gould said he's requested additional signage around the site for drivers. Gould also said PennDOT denied a request to adjust detours.

CARBONDALE TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A structure in Carbondale Township was left damaged after an early morning fire. The Meredith Hose Company was called to the 100 block of Main Street in Childs around 4 a.m. Thursday morning. Crews worked for hours to get the flames under control. There’s no word yet on any injuries. Officials are now investigating what caused the fire.

CARBONDALE TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — A 13-year-old died from injuries after his ATV crashed into a vehicle Monday night. According to the Lackawanna County Coroner's Office, Gregory Perri of Fell Towship died from injuries he sustained when the ATV he was driving was involved in a collision with a passenger vehicle around 7:45 p.m. along Electric St. near Meredith St. in Carbondale Township. He was taken to the emergency room, where he later died.
