    Indy Parks will hold a public meeting to discuss $1 million in planned improvements to Robey Park. The meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 23 at Robey Elementary, 8700 W. 30th St.The funding for the improvement comes from $25 million set aside in the city-county budget for each councilor to improve a park or roadway. Councilor Crista Carlino, a Democrat who represents the area, selected the 48-acre park for an upgraded pavilion, comfort station and water fountains.

    Construction of storm sewer trunk lines beneath the new Blue Line bus route will partially close a portion of West Washington Street for about six months beginning the week of June 16. According to IndyGo, the westbound lane of Washington Street between Belmont Avenue and North White River Parkway will close, and traffic will be rerouted. The eastbound lane will remain open. Here are the detours to help you get around the street closure.
