    WHITE HALL — Cynthia Black had heard about and read about the West Virginia Three Rivers Festival Senior Queen Pageant many times, but had never considered becoming a contestant until this year. When one of her friends in the Silver Sneakers program she attends at the Baptist Temple in East Side invited her to check it out, she did, and it paid off. Black, a lifelong resident of Grant Town, is now the 2025 West Virginia Three Rivers Festival Senior Queen.
