His 5-0 record with two knockouts will be on the line Saturday night at the Crook County Fairgrounds, headlining for an Arena Wars title.     BEND, Ore. -- The Ponderosa Master Plan, a 42-acre housing development on Bend's Southwest side, was approved by the Bend City Council Wednesday night. The site along Highway 97 south of Ponderosa Street and north of Rocking Horse Road, will be the location of 371 new housing units, with a mixture of single family homes, townhomes and apartments. The land will be developed and annexed into the southwestern urban growth boundary expansion area.

    For the next four weeks, Central Oregon Daily News will be taking you to the slopes of Mt. Bachelor for a firsthand look at the ski area's popular "Ski or Board in 4" lesson program. The program allows brand new skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to take four lessons of 2 1/2 hours long with rental equipment included at a huge discount. Central Oregon Daily's Eric Lindstrom volunteered two of his daughters -- 9-year-old Eloise and 7-year-old Lola -- to participate in ski lessons.
