Yep. A mistake in strategy 3 years ago not to get the compact "model 2" human driver car ready in time. I can imagine the rationale ... battery supply limitations were expected to be the production limiting factor so no net benefit in getting this model out , wishful thinking regarding demand for 3 and Y prevailed while there were still super long wait times, and on top of that it seems they are not resourced well enough to do several car development projects at once.
