The San Jose Sharks are stuck at 20 wins this season and while that’s an improvement over the 19 the team had last season, the Sharks have a long way to go to return to the playoffs. That was on display last night at the Scotiabank Saddledome, where the Calgary Flames showed the two team’s season records as one of the stats. Flames put up the team records for both teams. The San Jose Sharks are in Calgary to play the Flames today and have a familiar face taking line rushes with the team. Thomas Bordeleau was called up on Saturday and will get the chance to play tonight. This is Bordeleau’s first callup of the season after playing 27 games with the Sharks last season. Bordeleau is sixth on the Barracuda in scoring this season, though he hasn’t registered a point with the team since March 23.

The clock is winding down for the NHL regular season and while the San Jose Sharks don’t have much to play for, the visiting Calgary Flames have a lot on the line. The Flames are battling it out for a wild card spot in the Western Conference and while the odds of the team making it are dwindling, there’s still a chance. As of this morning, the race is tight. With the Minnesota Wild winning last night, the Flames now need six points to catch up and take that number two spot.
