In Pescadero, Michelle Ross will take the reins this summer from Amy Wooliever, who has led the district for the past 14 years.

Belle Piercy and Evelyn Browne, both juniors at Half Moon Bay High School, have been selected to represent Half Moon Bay this summer as ambassadors to sister city Kariwa-Mura in Japan. The pair will spend two weeks with host families in Kariwa-Mura during July.

Hikers entering the Moiri Point loop trail through Calera might have noticed the Liberty Memorial Gardens, but with water to the creek being shut off, the gardens are now at risk of drying out. A sign near the trail notifies hikers that the Calera Creek Water Recycling Plant nearby is undergoing a replacement in its ultraviolet disinfection system and won’t be able to provide irrigation water until October.
