COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The owner of two Mexican imported beers said the crackdown on immigration from President Donald Trump’s administration is scaring their Hispanic customers and hurting their sales of Modelo and Corona beers. The CEO of Constellation Brands, the company that owns Modelo and Corona, said half of their US customers are Hispanic and that they’ve seen a drop in people going out to restaurants or gathering in large groups because of what he believes to be a fear of deportations.

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Lightning struck two homes in Fayette County Sunday afternoon. Fayette County Fire Chief Jeffrey Hill said they happened near Highway 314 and LaFayette Drive. Hill said in one case, lightning struck in a bedroom of a home. He believes the other strike hit the ground and traveled to the crawl space of a home. Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers spoke to a neighbor who said he heard a loud explosion sound.

ATLANTA — Family and friends of rapper Young Scooter gathered Thursday evening for a balloon release in honor of the 39-year-old. Young Scooter, whose real name is Kenneth Bailey, died on his birthday after someone made a false 911 call to the home where he was at the time. Hundreds of people showed up to Bessie Branham Park in the Kirkwood neighborhood, the neighborhood where Bailey grew up. “He put his foot in every area and every side of Atlanta,” friend Baby Jade told Channel 2’s Eryn Rogers.

EAST POINT, Ga. — An East Point homeowner said he called 911 because he suspected someone was trying to break into his home; however, dispatchers sent officers to the wrong address. When he looked, he saw two men he didn’t know looking in his windows and trying to get into his home.
