    GLOUCESTER — Police Patrolman Alexander Aiello has been charged with receiving child sexual abuse material, the District of Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Aiello, 34, of Gloucester was charged with one count of possession of child pornography, the office said in a prepared statement Friday. Aiello, who was placed on paid administrative leave April 28 after law enforcement agents executed a search warrant at his home, will appear in federal court in Boston at a later date.

    Rules and procedures were laid out Wednesday during the start of a Board of Health public hearing on Eastern Waste Services LLC’s bid to build a new construction and demolition debris transfer station in the Cape Ann Industrial Park on Kondelin Road in Magnolia. However, with hearing officer Art Kreiger taking part remotely, no testimony was heard and the public hearing was continued to Monday, May 12, 7 to 10 p.m. in City Hall’s Kyrouz Auditorium.
