BRIDGEPORT - A man who police say beat 6-year-old Jathan Escobar to death last year soon could face new charges. Abdulrahim Sulaiman, 38, appeared briefly Wednesday before Judge Tracy Lee Dayton at the Bridgeport Judicial District Courthouse regarding a request from prosecutors to try him at the same time on charges related to Jathan's killing and charges he called the boy's mother from jail illegally.
