TRILLA, Ill. (WCIA) — Nearly a month after a plane crash killed four in Trilla, more information on the tragedy has been released, including a witness’ report of what happened. The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on the fatal April 19 plane crash. At 10:16 a.m. that day, a Cessna 180G, N4679U airplane crashed and killed a private pilot along with three passengers between Coles and Cumberland counties.

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — A longtime civic leader, philanthropist and retired physician has been appointed to the University of Illinois Board of Trustees. On Monday, Governor JB Pritzker appointed Bryan S. Traubert as the newest trustee member on the board. Traubert practiced ophthalmology in Chicago for over 30 years and is chairman of the Pritzker Traubert Foundation and chair of the Executive Committee of the Chicago Community Trust.
