Ballenmuir House and Cottage, located just over a mile away from Forres town centre, is being sold for offers over £960,000. The extensive property features five bedrooms, three reception rooms and a separate wing. Galbraith, which is handling the sale of the property, says the wing offers “considerable scope” for use as a separate annexe or as a short terms holiday let.

A nursery will close permanently at the end of the summer term after failing to find a new manager. Rainbow Castle Childcare, which operates out of a building on the grounds of Moray Leisure Centre in Elgin, has been without a specialist nursery manager since March. Inspectors raised “significant concerns” regarding the situation after an unannounced inspection earlier this year.

Christies Garden Centre in Fochabers, which has been run by the Christie family since its foundation in 1820, announced today that is edging closer to being sold to Simpsons Garden Centre in Inverness. It is expected that the sale will be completed within the next two weeks bringing an end to over two centuries of family ownership.
