SRI LANKA (MAY 11) – At least 21 people were killed and dozens injured early Saturday when a state-run passenger bus plunged nearly 100 feet into a precipice in central Sri Lanka, police and local officials said. The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the Garandiella area of Ramboda, along the Nuwara Eliya–Gampola main road, as the bus was travelling from the southern town of Kataragama to Kurunegala.

DODA, April 4 – One person was killed and another critically injured in a road accident on Friday in the Gandoh area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, officials said. The incident occurred near Darmoti when an Alto car, bearing registration number JK06C 4088, veered off the road under unknown circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Sonu Kumar, 30, son of Bishan Lal, a resident of Batara village.

DODA, April 3 – A 45-year-old man lost his life in a road accident on National Highway 244 near Thathri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, sources told The Chenab Times on Thursday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Surat Singh, a resident of Joura Kalan in Kahara tehsil, Doda. According to his family, Kumar was traveling from Katra to his home on a two-wheeler scooty (JK06C2097) when the accident occurred.

A tragic accident occurred on Bharat Road near Goraal in Doda district today, claiming the life of a young boy. The incident took place around 5:45 p.m. when a load carrier, locally known as a “Junga” with registration number JK06B1517, struck a seven-year-old boy, resulting in his death on the spot. The victim has been identified as the son of Jamsheed Ahmed Lavay, a resident of Dhar B in Tehsil Bharat Bagla, Doda.

A tragic incident occurred today in the Dool area of Kishtwar district, where a 9-year-old boy, Abdul Razak, drowned in the Chenab River near Cherji Bridge. Abdul, the son of Zakir Hussain from Kwar, was on his way home from school with his elder brother when the accident happened around 4 p.m.As the boys reached Cherji Bridge, Abdul’s elder brother successfully crossed the bridge, but Abdul accidentally fell into the river, as per sources of The Chenab Times.
