1. IntroductionWith the advancement of technology, the structures of experimental factors have become more and more complex. In many experiments, the presence of some factors is determined by the levels of specific factors, where the former factors are called nested factors and the latter factors are called branching factors. The remaining factors, apart from these two kinds, are referred to as shared factors. Here, we revisit the example in [1] to briefly illustrate these three kinds of factors.
