A state funeral will be held to honour the life and legacy of former Northern Territory politician Grant Tambling AM. The service will take place on Monday, March 17, 2025 at the Darwin Convention Centre at 10am, and members of the public are welcome to attend to pay their respects. Mr Tambling dedicated his life to public service, and was believed to be the first Australian to have served at all three levels of government.

Indigenous Territorians looking to start a career in health can now apply to a government program helping to fund their study and boost Aboriginal representation in the workforce. The 2025 intake of the NT Health Aboriginal Cadetships program is now open for applications, designed to assist eligible students to undertake a Diploma of Nursing or their first undergraduate degree or postgraduate studies.
