Hodge Post Office Building” to honor the life and legacy of Jerry Hodge. Dear Toni, A friend introduced me to your Medicare column because I’m stressed about what I need to do to enroll in Medicare. I have started working part-time and am no longer eligible for company benefits. I’m turning 65 on Nov. 11 and need my Medicare to begin that month. I will not be receiving a Social Security check until I am at least 67. How does Medicare’s fall enrollment time affect me, since I will be applying for Medicare during that period?

Per the Gray County Sheriff's Office On September 24, 2024, Rosalin Bobbie Middleton, 47, of Pampa, was arrested by the Fugitive Task Force for a bond surrender for assault on a family member by impeding breath, a capias pro fine for theft under $100 and a capias pro fine for tamperting with contents of a trash bin.

Oswego School District 308 could join other school districts across the state in offering girls wrestling and boys and girls lacrosse as Illinois High School Association sanctioned sports. Staff is recommending the district add girls wrestling along with boys lacrosse and girls lacrosse beginning in the fall and presented the proposal to Oswego School Board members at their Feb. 26 board meeting. Board members are expected to vote on the proposal at a future meeting.

The Tri-County Conference has released its 2023-24 boys basketball all-conference teams, with Seneca junior Paxton Giertz a unanimous first-team selection as well as being selected the Tri-County Conference Player of the Year. Two of the other first-team all-conference selections were also unanimous choices of the coaches of the TCC – Midland senior Keagan Faulkner and Marquette Academy sophomore Alec Novotney.

The IHSA three-day girls state basketball kicks off on Thursday with the start of the Class 1A/2A tournament. This year’s four-class system marks the third year of the new format, which features the losers of each semifinal game playing in the third-place game later that evening. The 2024 3A/4A state tourney will have new state title winners in each class after O’Fallon, which beat Benet in the 4A final last season, lost to Alton in a sectional semifinal.
