QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A breaking and entering in a Queens building by two suspects led to the discovery of hundreds of pounds of illegal pot at a warehouse on Thursday, according to city officials. Police responded to a 911 call near 26-32 Street in Astoria at 2:00 a.m. Two suspects were apprehended and arrested and had 100 pounds of marijuana on them, according to police officials. A search warrant was granted for officers to search a nearby warehouse.

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The family of a 95-year-old woman alleges a home health care attendant abused their beloved grandmother. PIX11 News reached out to the NYPD, who confirmed the victim had been assaulted in her Harlem home. The victim’s granddaughters, Michelle and Tiffany Mitchell, recounted over the phone the day their grandmother was assaulted. The 95-year-old grandmother received injuries to her head and right shoulder, police confirmed.

BROOKLYN (PIX11) — A peaceful rally turned tense when the NYPD clashed with Pro-Palestine supporters in Bay Ridge on Saturday evening. In one video obtained by PIX11 News, things appeared to turn violent between NYPD officers and protesters. Earlier this afternoon thousands of people had flooded the streets of Brooklyn to support Palestine, the partially recognized sovereign state. Palestine is not a country recognized by the United States or the United Nations.
