PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A boy from Rhode Island was the heart of one of the first viral images of Pope Francis' papacy, in an embrace seen around the world. Just two weeks after becoming Pope, the new leader of the Catholic church took a then 8-year-old Dominic Gondreau into his arms after Easter Sunday mass in 2013. "It never gets old. It's the gift that keeps on giving," his father Paul Gondreau said. "He's inextricably linked Pope Francis is with our family.

An expert witness testified Thursday a person does not need to be naked for body composition testing. Dr. Laurie Milliken, an associate professor at University of Massachusetts Boston and CEO of the Global Health and Body Composition Institute, was called to the stand as an expert witness in the trial of Aaron Thomas. "Usually you try to get minimal clothing but you never ask them to take their clothes off, there’s just no need for it," she testified.
