NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The No. 1 wide receiver in the country hails from Hattiesburg, MS. Five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys is a member of the LSU Tigers 2026 recruiting class. The 6-2, 185 pound WR plays for Hattiesburg High. The school mascot, Fighting Tigers. School colors, purple and gold. “Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. I’ve been a Tiger all my life,” said Tristen Keys. Keys is one of four wide receivers committed to the Tigers ‘26 class.
Karr Cougars Richard Anderson is the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Richard Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew in Karr’s state championship victory in December. The defensive lineman racked up six tackles for loss, a sack and a safety in the Cougars demolition of Alexandria, 53-8. According to On3 industry rankings, Anderson is the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2026. The rising senior committed to LSU in June of 2024. The Tigers ‘26 class currently has 10 commits, and is ranked No. 2 overall.

News of a possible Derek Carr injury, spotlighted the Saints chances of taking a quarterback in the draft. Right now, former Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart are the favorites to be drafted by the Saints according to DraftKings Sportsbook. After spring football ended, coach Jon Sumrall laid out his plan for hitting the transfer portal in search of a quarterback. “Kadin (Semonza) and Donovan (Leary) took a lion’s share of the reps in the last half of spring. Both did some good things. We’re not settled on who the starting QB is. We’re definitely in the market for which quarterback out there could fit. We’re not looking for a depth piece.
