The constant crushing of that football through the uprights garnered Helmke a full scholarship to kick for the Tulane Green Wave. “I think they really liked my film, and when I went to camp I had a really good day. It was so good to hear their feedback on me. Tulane is a school I’ve been eyeing up for a long time. Obviously the portal affects the high school guys.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - In Year 1 of the Saints girls flag football league, the De La Salle Cavaliers took the crown. Giving DLS a championship trophy, and a trip to Oregon to play in a nationally-televised game. “I would say the whole experience was magical. Going from wanting to play football for a long time, to actually playing and winning a championship, getting to do all this cool stuff,” said De La salle junior Abria Frye. De La Salle’s road to a repeat will be a little tougher this time around.
