COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball head coach Larissa Anderson and her staff announced Tuesday the signing of transfer outfielder Emma Jackson. Jackson, a Chincoteague, Virginia, native, heads to Mizzou for her senior season after earning back-to-back All-American Athletic Conference (AAC) honors and 2024 NFCA Mideast All-Region First Team laurels over two seasons at East Carolina. She also was named to the 2025 AAC All-Tournament Team.

The St. Louis Cardinals had just five hits during an 8-1 loss to the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. Erick Fedde was charged with his fifth loss after allowing two runs on four hits in six innings, while Willson Contreras had an RBI in the losing effort. The Cardinals are in second place in the NL Central at 33-and-26. They host Kansas City tomorrow night. Cardinals manager Oli Marmol did not believe that his team played well enough to win.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The kick times for Mizzou football’s first three games of the 2025 season are set, the SEC and ESPN announced Thursday. The Tigers open the season against Central Arkansas on Thursday, August 28 at Memorial Stadium. “Kickoff in CoMo” is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and will air nationally on SEC Network. The game marks the fourth consecutive year in which the Tigers have opened their season in the prime-time slot and the eighth weeknight game at home since 2015.
