AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The finances of the Housing and Development Department will be under the microscope, a process auditors say could take up to six months. “We got to be good stewards of the taxpayer’s dollar and we’re going to follow the process to make sure there’s no wrongdoing,” said Mayor Pro-Tem Wayne Guilfoyle. The audit will look at nine different grant programs in the department, to review compliance.

We like to do a quick smoke,” said Wes Wallace from Evans. “We’re cooking with smoke. We want it to taste like it was cooked outside,” said Trey Terry from Monroe, Georgia. “All my meat is smoked on a smoker,” said John Bennett, from Varnville, South Carolina.
