Its driver is none other than Jesse Elliott, one-half of the Jesse and Jenny Elliott behind Shoppe 3130 over on West Avenue.

North Augusta City Council is three members changed. May 5 was the swearing in of new councilmen Dennis Briatico, John Felak and Robert Freitas; and of incumbents Mayor Briton Williams and Councilwoman Pat Carpenter. May 5 also had Councilmember Jenafer McCauley and David McGhee stepping off the dais. In all, it was shift in North Augusta’s elected body by almost half its members. It was loss of a man who served 12 years and a woman who broke generational barriers.

Dennis Briatico upset North Augusta's election Tuesday, ousting incumbent and Mayor Pro Tempore Jenafer McCauley to become the first Democrat the city's had in recent history. Briatico’s win means that North Augusta will have three new representatives on the dais at City Council Chambers starting in May when Briatico, Robert Freitas and John Felak take their oaths of office and both McCauley and David McGhee — who lost to Freitas in the Republican primary — step down.
