Forty-seven year old Anthony McArthur is behind bars tonight — charged with three counts of drug trafficking. Sheriff Mike Granthum says large quantities of crack cocaine — marijuana — and other narcotics — were found during a raid at a house in Selma last week.

From the West Alabama Newsroom–The federal government has slashed nearly $9 million in funding from Alabama schools. And nearly half of that amount was cut from Selma City Schools. The U.S. Department of Education is withholding $4 million dollars in COVID relief funds from the rural school district. The district was using the money to help fund an ongoing construction project at School of Discovery.
