The state of Alabama requires all law enforcement in the state — to requalify with their weapons each year. Officers must pass the training in order to remain certified to carry a firearm. The training ensures that the officer remains familiar with his firearm — and knows how to use it properly.

From the West Alabama Newsroom–A Marion man is on trial in Perry County — for the murder of his wife. Thirty-seven year old Jimmy Woods is accused of murder — and abuse of a corpse. His wife was found dead hours after a fire at their home. Her body was discovered on the other side of town — in the back of the couple’s pick up truck. The trial got underway Tuesday and is expected to wrap up by the end of the week. The Honorable Collins Pettaway, Jr. is the presiding judge.
