NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Saints added much needed depth behind Alvin Kamara. New Orleans selected Kansas running back Devin Neal with the eighth pick (185th overall) in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. During his four years at his hometown college, the Lawrence-native became the Jayhawks’ bell-cow back. Neal finished his career at Kansas as the programs all-time leader in rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, games with at least 100 rushing yards and total touchdowns.

Despite a second-half spark from No. 11 Southeastern, No. 6 Xavier cruises in a 77-59 victory. The Gold Nuggets were led to their win by Kam Shelly who posted a 22 point performance, followed by Janiya Reed with 16. Southeastern edged Xavier in the third quarter, 19-17, but big plays down the stretch from Shelly, Reed and Lauren Banks allowed them to steer towards a win. “It’s a game of runs,” says head coach Bo Browder.
