NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Delgado wasted no time making an impact, batting through the lineup in the first inning and racking up six runs on six hits. The offensive surge featured a two-run homer by Rhett Centanni, an RBI double by Eli Booth, another two-run shot from Frank Randol, and an RBI single by Cooper Dailey, giving the Dolphins an early 6-0 lead. The momentum continued in the second as Everett Denny’s single brought home Josh Hoffmann.

Nicholls football was loud and proud with their “T.E.A.M” shirts. Team is the acronym for “Together Everybody Achieves More”. It’s apart of the new Tommy Rybacki era where togetherness is apart of the standard and speaking with the Colonels’ new head coach, he says much hasn’t changed. He’s still busy with elevated tasks but he’s continued to see progress through the spring ball period and he’s anxious for what’s to come.

New Orleans, La. – De LaSalle dominates Thibodaux in rule-run fashion, 11-1. The Cavaliers scored early and often including a 8-0 in the first to start the contest. The Cavaliers were aggressive in their approach – stealing bases and going the distance at the plate. Thibodaux did find itself on the board with a single run courtesy of Lenox St. Pierre scoring Jayden Dupree with a deep shot centerfield.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Mitchell Johnson has been named the new head coach of boys’ basketball at Archbishop Shaw. Johnson comes with a lengthy resume including his time at St. Augustine where he served as an assistant and head coach for eight years, before resigning in 2020. Johnson had short stints with McDonogh 35 and East Jefferson before returning to St. Augustine this past season, helping lead the Purple Knights to a championship title.
