It’s a cheese lover’s dream come true: 40 wheels of Comté mixed with gargantuan supplies of white wine and garlic and all melted down into a delicious gloop. The world’s biggest fondue has been made by Comté cheese specialist JuraFlore at Fort des Rousses in Les Rousses, France. The cheeses, aged for nine, 15, and 21 months, were mixed with Chardonnay and Savagnin white wines, 4.4 lbs of garlic, 3.3 lbs of white pepper, and 121 lbs of cornstarch to achieve the desired creamy texture.
