MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. — The investigation continues into a deadly pileup on I-35W in Mounds View Tuesday morning. Family members say 67-year-old Kirby Schwarzkopf of Brooklyn Park died in the crash while he was driving his 5-year-old granddaughter to story time at their local library. The family says the 5-year-old girl suffered very minor injuries during the crash, and they credit Schwarzkopf with keeping her safe.
