But each of them just needed to keep moving forward to find where they belonged. “I always wanted to go and I didn’t want anyone to stop me,” said Sally Tayler, an Army veteran. Tayler was a guardian on Mission XVIII with her dad, a Navy veteran. But this time, it was her flight.

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (WLUC) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection says in fiscal year 2023, it processed 1,081,000 people on an average day at all U.S. borders. Fiscal Year 2023 began Oct. 1, 2022 and continued through Sept. 30, 2023. “It’s not unlike anything you’d see in Detroit or the Southwest border for that matter. It’s just the volume is a little different, just because of the locale,” said Justin Shemanski, the Detroit Field Office Communications program manager.

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Power was out again at The Westwood Mall for half of Wednesday. This was the third time the power was shut off since March. TV6 did talk to Mike Kohan last week about the outages – six days before the power went out. In that phone call, Kohan told TV6 “It’s not going to happen again.”Kohan’s pattern of not paying utility bills and then electricity being turned off applies to several of his malls. It’s left business owners with more questions.
