BOZEMAN — The tradition carries on for the legacy No. 41 jersey within the Montana State football team, as Billings native and defensive lineman Paul Brott was chosen to wear the jersey next season. The Bobcats issue the No. 41 as a legacy jersey each season to a senior from Montana as a tribute to the Treasure State’s status as the 41st state admitted to the United States, as well as to the 1941 Bobcats, who (along with several preceding teams) lost 13 men in service. BOZEMAN — The White team prevailed over the Blue 24-14 in the 2025 Sonny Holland Classic on Saturday as Montana State closed spring football drills. Wide receivers Javonte King and Jabez Woods both scored touchdowns, along with running backs Colson Coon and Jared White. The defense had three interceptions, as Bryant Meredith picked one off and Carson Williams had two.

BOZEMAN — Montana State football is in its final week of spring ball, and the wide receiver room has seen strides for the past five weeks. Sam Mix moved from coaching running backs to wide receivers, and has brought a philosophy with him to the position group. "(The running backs) were never scared to be the guy that was the starter for us, and I think if we can bring that same mindset into the receiver room, that would be really good for us," Mix said.
