A North London borough will receive a grant of nearly £800,000 which will be invested in upgrading and improving high streets, libraries, and an arts block. It is hoped the money will boost the local economy by supporting jobs and bringing in more visitors to the area. Harrow Council has been awarded £789,000 by the Greater London Assembly (GLA) following a successful bid for a grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
