Avista has reached a settlement with stakeholders involved in the company’s electric and natural gas rate cases in Idaho, the utility announced on June 9. The settlement, which is pending the approval of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, would allow Avista to increase base electric rates by $19.5 million (6.3 percent) effective Sept. 1, 2025, and another $14.7 million (4.5 percent) starting Sept. 1, 2026.
