    Portland General Electric and Pacific Gas & Electric have partnered with a California startup that proposes to use artificial intelligence to find available power on the grid to get data centers on line faster. GridCARE aims to expedite the time-to-power process for data centers and AI infrastructure customers—both for new sites and upgrades to existing facilities—by using AI analysis to tap into existing grid capacity, according to the company's May 27 launch announcement.
