Wyoming energy regulators on April 15 approved an $85.5 million rate hike for PacifiCorp, increasing rates by 10.2 percent effective June 1. The increase is in accord with a settlement agreement between PacifiCorp, the Wyoming Industrial Energy Consumers (WIEC) and the Wyoming Office of Consumer Advocate (WOCA) that was filed March 4 (Clearing Up No. 2201).

Oregon is considering a new program to help medium- and heavy-duty truck manufacturers meet the state’s zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) requirements. The Oregon Optional Credit Program proposes a short-term solution for truck manufacturers concerned about complying with the state’s Advanced Clean Trucks (ACT) Rule in 2025 and 2026. The rule changes are proposed by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), which says truck makers face ongoing challenges with ACT compliance.
