MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Parvovirus is a highly contagious and often fatal puppy disease. Cases are currently elevated in parts of the country, including our neighboring state of Georgia, and other parts of the southeast, like Florida. Just because the Carolinas aren’t dealing with a high infection rate doesn’t mean there still isn’t a risk that pet owners need to be aware of. Parvovirus is spread easily and can occur when your pet comes into contact with an infected dog or their stool.
