MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Welcome to June! This is the beginning of summer boating days, and as our rivers fill with boaters, safety is more important than ever, especially when your dog is on board. Before heading out on the water, if your pet is new to boat life, take them to the docks for a test run. The loud engines can be overwhelming, and the rocking of the dock or boat can make your dog scared and reluctant to board.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — As we transitioned into the spring, allergies were a hot topic, and at the time, tree pollen was the main focus. In the summertime, it’s less about tree pollen and more about the grasses, but some pets are allergic to grass as well. Grass pollen begins to be more noticeable in South Carolina in May. Ryegrass, Bermuda grass, bent grass, and sweet vernal grass are the main contributors to allergies. This won’t taper off until August.
