    MULLINS, S.C. (WBTW) — An 80-year-old Mullins man died at the hospital on Tuesday after a fire at his apartment on Norton Drive, Marion County Jerry Richardson said. William Stevens was pulled from the burning apartment and taken to the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Marion, where he died from smoke inhalation, Richardson said. The fire happened at about 4:30 p.m. The Mullins Fire Department responded to the scene.

    CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — Conway police have charged a 31-year-old Florence man with murder after a deadly shooting that happened late Saturday night. Traeqwan Wilson was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday. He is being held without bond. V’ron Gibbs died at about 4:20 a.m. Sunday from gunshot wounds suffered in the shooting at Grainger Road and Marion Street in Conway, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office said. It happened after 11 p.m. on Saturday.
