It was informed in the meeting that this project is expected to attract investments of around Rs 32,000 crore and generate over 10,000 employment opportunities. The IMC will have all essential and modern infrastructure including roads, a water treatment plant, and a solid waste management plant (STP). A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NICDC and the Haryana Government will be signed soon for the successful execution of this project.

CHANDIGARH: Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials began searching the residence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and owner of Janta Land Promoters Limited (JLPL) Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh on Tuesday. The searches spanned more than 15 locations, including his residential premises, in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation. The searches are related to the Pearl Agro Corporation Limited (PACL) case pertaining to investor fraud involving an amount of Rs 48,000 crore.

CHANDIGARH: 56-year old Robert Vadra, businessman and husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate today and was questioned for more than five hours. He was summoned and questioned by the central agency in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to irregularities in a 2007-08 land deal made by his company in Haryana. Sources said that this was the second summons issued to Vadra this month by the Enforcement Directorate.
