TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah woman is facing an aggravated assault charge, after police say she confessed to a stabbing while under arrest for a different incident involving a baby. Tybee Island Police responded to a disorderly woman on the beach near 14 1/2 Street on April 1. Police say a caller reported the woman, 38-year-old Brittany Floyd, for throwing sand at a baby on the beach.

POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - More and more people are moving to Pooler and western Chatham County, and the need for increased medical care in that area only continues to grow. Expanding healthcare in Pooler has been the topic of ongoing legal challenges since 2020. Both Memorial Health and St. Joseph’s/Candler have differing views on the best way to move forward to serve people in the county. “The residents have spoken, the need is there, so let’s make it happen,” said Pooler Mayor Karen Williams.
