    MIDLAND, MI – Looking for a way to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of winter? A mid-Michigan nature center is hosting a free snowshoeing event this weekend. Chippewa Nature Center, 400 S. Badour Road in Midland, is hosting an all-ages Snowshoe Sampler from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 22. “Drop by any time to give CNC’s snowshoes a try, do a winter scavenger hunt or warm up by a campfire.

    MIDLAND, MI – Butterflies in Bloom, featuring colorful butterflies from around the world, will transform Midland’s Dow Garden’s Conservatory into a tropical environment next month. The annual exhibit returns to Dow Gardens Friday, March 7, and continues through April 20. Beginning March 7, Butterflies in Bloom is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

    SAGINAW TWP, MI – A long-anticipated Chick-fil-A restaurant, the Saginaw area’s first, is almost ready to open. Company officials confirmed the chain famous for chicken sandwiches is opening its first Saginaw Township location Thursday, Feb. 13. The new restaurant, located at 2525 Tittabawassee Road, will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, according to a Chick-fil-A news release. Jon Cook is the independent franchised local owner/operator.
