    SALT LAKE CITY —  A semi truck hauling wood products rolled on eastbound Interstate 84 in Morgan County on Thursday, causing hours-long lane closures. The rollover happened at 8:20 a.m. and caused minor injuries to a passenger. The male driver was not injured. I-84 EB is CLOSED approaching the Taggart’s Grill due to a crash. Exit in Morgan City and use alternate route to avoid delays.

    SALT LAKE CITY — Women make up 50.5% of the U.S. population. Yet only 5% of women are airline pilots. To help balance the scales, a program is working to get more girls interested in the field of aviation by giving free flights. According to Institute for Women of Aviation Worldwide founder Mireille Goyer, there were “no outreach initiatives targeting girls for this industry. But plenty for boys.” Until she started the program in 2010.

Unfortunately, not all of the animals survived the ordeal. Lt. Cameron Roden with UHP said the commotion occurred near the U.S. 6 interchange in Spanish Fork. “Two or three of them were hit, and by multiple vehicles, including a semitruck,” Roden said.

    SPANISH FORK — Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said there were cows on southbound I-15 near the US-6 Interchange in Spanish Fork disrupting this morning’s commute. According to Roden, the cows managed to get through a fence and ended up on the freeway just after 5:30am. Lanes were cleared and reopened around 9 a.m.“Two or three of them were hit and killed by multiple vehicles, including a semitruck,” Roden said. Crash I-15 SB just before the US-6 exit in Spanish Fork.
