Fortunately, police said no one was injured.     SALT LAKE CITY — A man died in Salt Lake City early Friday after police said he was likely hit by a car whose driver then fled the scene. Hours later, the driver was arrested. The driver was identified later Friday morning by police as Steven Ray Weathers, 61. At approximately 1:15 a.m., a Gold Cross Ambulance found a 41-year-old man injured and unresponsive near 400 South and 200 East, near Washington Square Park. Despite efforts by paramedics to save his life, he died at the scene.

Luckily, fire officials said nobody was hurt. The fire was initially marked as a two-alarm fire when it began sometime before 7:30 a.m. About an hour later, officials said the flames escalated, requiring a three-alarm response.

    SANDY — A Utah couple is being accused of money laundering and smuggling oil into the U.S. from Mexican cartels, after they were arrested during a multi-state raid by U.S. Marshals, according to court documents. James Lael Jensen and his wife, Kelly Anne Jensen, were booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on Wednesday. The couple and two of his sons are being federally indicted for allegedly conspiring to smuggle 2,881 shipments of oil from Mexico that they knew were illegal.
