SALT LAKE CITY — A small city in Utah County, is growing. But it may not be growing fast enough according to citizens who have filed a referendum against a new Vineyard city center. Most Vineyard City Council members approve of the new city center and the plan to fund it. Last week, the council voted 4-1 to authorize a plan that sells sales tax revenue bonds to come up with what they estimate is the $35 million cost.

SALT LAKE CITY — Construction on a major three-year expansion of Provo Airport began Monday with a ceremonial groundbreaking at the facility that one official said is “desperately” in need of an update. The existing airport has come a long way since the early 1940s, when an airstrip was built at the request of the military, according to the airport’s website. Commercial service began in 2005 and was expanded with a new terminal in 2022.
