    SALT LAKE CITY — A child is missing out of Logan, Utah, and police are asking the public for help. Aladin Garnar is Black, and has very short black hair. He is 5′ 8″ and weighs 135 pounds. The Logan Police Department said he was last seen playing soccer at Logan High on Sunday night. According to police, Garnar was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and a black jacket. They said he may be on a black mountain bike and wearing a black backpack.

    SALT LAKE CITY — Ralph Menzies, a man on Utah’s death row since 1988, is competent enough to be executed, a judge ruled on Friday. In 2024, Menzies’ attorneys filed a petition with the court saying their client has dementia. They said he would not understand the meaning of being executed.     SALT LAKE CITY — One of the eaglets that has been the subject of intense online interest ever since they first appeared in their nest in the forest of California’s Big Bear Valley has taken the next step. On Monday, as seen on the popular 24-hour webcam, the female eaglet named Sunny was seen spreading her wings and flying away for the first time. Friends of Big Bear Valley made the announcement on their Instagram page.

    SALT LAKE CITY — A state lawmaker has threatened “significant legislation” after Utah professional sports teams posted celebratory messages about Pride month. Over the weekend, the Utah Mammoth posted a message on the social platform X that said, “Happy Pride!” along with a rainbow flag. Pride month is recognized each June as a celebration of LGBTQ+ rights and culture.
